Explorations in Afro-Cuban Dance & Drum is presented by Humboldt State University Office of Extended Education to celebrate the folkloric music, songs, and dances of the Afro-Cuban people. It offers assembly of Afro-Cuban percussion and dance masters, and internationally recognized instructors to teach students of all skill levels. The workshop provides drum classes to encourage students to go beyond learning parts, and special classes are offered in Batá, shekere, quinto, technique, and basic rhythmic skills.
