Fifteen miles east of
Rosamond on Rosamond Blvd, the flight research center is located at Edwards Air Force Base. New forms of aircraft are developed and tested at this facility.
Guided tours, which begin with a film describing the history of the test programs, continues with a walk through a hangar and a look at experimental aircrafts.
Tours are given Mondays through Fridays. The tours are free but reservations are required. The center is closed on holidays and space shuttle landing days.
