Calistoga Geyser

Old Faithful Geyser of California

An underground river, whose waters are heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, feeds this regularly erupting geyser. Eruptions occur every 40 minutes for 1 to 2 minutes on average shooting water 60 feet into the air. Self-guiding tours are available and picnicking is permitted. Open daily. Located one mile north of Calistoga on Tubbs Lane between Highways 29 and 128.

Admission, subject to change, is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for seniors, $3.00 for children 6-12, with two paid adults you get one child free, and free to children 5 and under. Open 365 days a year, the Calistoga Geyser can be viewed from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. in the summer and until 5 P.M. in the winter. We feature a geothermal exhibit hall, snack bar, gift shop, picnic area and self-guided geothermal tour. Private moonlight viewing is available for 50 people or more by reservation. The geyser is a natural phenomenon attracting visitors from all over the world, approximately 150,000 a year.
