Paradise is located in northern California, in northern Butte County, directly north of Oroville on State Highway 191 and east of Chico. This community is at the edge of Lassen National Forest and Plumas National Forest in the Sierra Nevada. Population (year 2000): 26,408, Est. population in July 2002: 26,743 (+1.3% change) Males: 12,307 (46.6%), Females: 14,101 (53.4%).
