Paso Robles

Paso Robles is located north of San Luis Obispo between King City and Atascadero along US Highway 101 near the Salinas River and Lake Nacimiento.

Its name derives from the Spanish term for "passage of the oaks," for the path followed by Juan Bautista de Anza and his party in 1776. It was the filming location for the 1989 movie, "My Blue Heaven".
