Located in the heart of the Napa Valley, Raymond Vineyard and Cellar's Visitor Center reflects the warm hospitality of the Raymond family. Founded in 1971 by the 4th generation Napa Valley vintners, Walter and Roy Raymond Jr., the winery is known for excellent Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot. Eighty-five acres of vineyard surround an efficient state-of-the-art winery and provide beautiful views from the tasting room. Complimentary tastes of current Napa Valley releases are offered, in addition to a Library Taste of limited release and vintage wines at a small fee. Tasting is available from daily from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Winery is closed on major holidays including Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

The fair offered premiums (prizes) for its competitions and included such agricultural exhibits such as 2-inch-long peanuts, 72-pound beets and a 10-pound carrot that was longer than 3 feet. Horseracing was part of that first fair and has continued to be a part of the fair ever since.
