Richard Schmidt is a world-renowned surfer, surfing both professionally and for fun. He competes on the California and Hawaiian legs of the Association Surfing Professionals World Tour.

His surfing school, located in Santa Cruz, California is home to some of the best surfing locations on the West Coast. The coastline is part of the Monterey Bay marine sanctuary. Richard has taught thousands of people the sport of surfing. He does this through his year-round surf school and summer surfing camps. Group lessons and private lessons are available. Wetsuits and surfboards are provided.
