The Griffin Contemporary Art Gallery was formerly a manufacturing plant for Douglas Aircraft and was most recently home to the architecture firm Marmol Radziner Associates. The expansive interior has been divided into four distinct exhibition rooms with lofty 25-foot ceilings and an outdoor courtyard for sculpture. The space provides greater flexibility in the gallery’s programming that includes a select group of internationally acclaimed artists, including Richard Long, James Turrell, Joseph Beuys, Leon Golub, Enrique Martinez Celaya, Greg Colson, Peter Wegner, and Liza Ryan.
