Local architect Willoughby Edbrooke built the museum in 1892. Changing exhibits present contemporary art, with text panels available in several languages.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; Fridays from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The museum is closed Mondays, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day.
