San Anselmo California |
The San Anselmo area was first home to the Miwok Indians. After the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, San Anselmo saw a population boom as people fled to the area and established homes. April 9, 1907, the Town of San Anselmo incorporated.
San Anselmo is located in Marin County just north of San Francisco between Terre Linda and Corte Madera along US Highway 101 near Alpine and Bon Tempe lakes and San Pedro Bay. San Pedro Bay is part of the greater San Francisco Bay.
San Anselmo is part of the San Francisco, California metro area.
