With swimming, surfing, and picnicking, San Buena Ventura State Beach has 2 miles of sandy beach, sand dunes, picnic sites, a snack bar and beach equipment rental shop. Bike trails connect other nearby beaches. The beach is the site for a number of special events, such as the Pirate Festival, a triathlon, and volleyball tournaments. On the 1,700 foot pier is a snack bar, restaurant and bait shop.
The beach is in the city of Ventura. Take San Pedro Street off Hwy 101. Beach hours are from dawn until dusk.
