San Diego State is a public university, part of the
California State University System. It was founded in 1897 and occupies a 282-acre campus 8 miles east of downtown
San Diego. One of the largest of the Cal State universities in terms of enrollment, there are around 20,000 full-time undergraduates and 5,000 graduate students. The most popular undergraduate major is business administration.
