The San Joaquin County Historical Society and Museum is located in California's San Joaquin Valley. The museum is located in Micke Grove Park, a 65-acre county park which in addition to the museum includes a the Micke Grove Zoo, a rose garden, Japanese Garden, amusement park and picnic areas. The museum opened in 1968, and is operated by the San Joaquin County Historical Society, a non-profit corporation. The museum is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 1:00-4:45 pm. Other hours and services are by appointment.
