Undeveloped and unstaffed by the parks department, this 670-acre historic park is located in
Greater Los Angeles, where the Simi Hills meet the Santa Susana Mountains. Rich in natural, historical, and cultural significance, the park offers panoramic views of the rugged natural landscape as a striking contrast to the developed communities nearby. Equestrians will enjoy the system of horse trails through the park as much as the photographers will enjoy the blossoms and striking formations. Dogs and fires are not permitted in the park, which is open from 8:00 am to sunset.
To reach the park, take the 118 Freeway to the Topanga Canyon Boulevard exit. Proceed south on Topanga Blvd approximately 1 mile. Turn west on Devonshire, proceed half a mile, and enter Chatsworth Park South. The hills surrounding the community park are the parklands for Santa Susana Park.
