Seadrift was established in the early 1960's as a second home community. All of the homes have fireplaces, barbeques, and well-equipped kitchens. Most of those homes also have some type of boat to get out in the water. Large groups are possible only on a limited basis, although there are facilities within the community of Stinson as well as nearby Bolinas that can accommodate more for a special occasion.
