This lake and small community is located within the
Mojave National Preserve off Highway 127. Silver Lake is located in
Amador, one hundred miles east of
Stockton. The lake is less than one hours drive from Lake Tahoe, and the elevation is 7,200 feet. Silver lake is home to Silver Lake High Sierra Camp for adults and families with children.
