Stinson Beach California

Stinson Beach is a beautiful ocean community rich in history. In the early 19th century the area was used for raising milk cows. The rolling rills were home to many ranches. In 1906, an earthquake rocked San Francisco and refuges fled to Stinson Beach and there after the town was built and consequently flourished.

While visiting the area one can visit the Point Reyes Lighthouse, Bolinas Lagoon Preserve, and the Mt. Tamalpais State park. Also nearby are the Muir Woods and Red Rock Beach.

Stinson Beach is located in Marin County just north of San Francisco between Mill Valley and Bodega Bay along Highway 1 near Alpine and Bon Tempe lakes and the Pacific Ocean.

Stinson Beach is part of the San Francisco, California metro area.
