Suisun City

Suisun City is located in Solano County. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 26,903, an increase of 4,199 since 1990.

A small Californian community, Suisun City is situated midway between San Francisco and Sacramento in Central Solano County. The Old Town section of the City is located on the Suisun Channel, which empties into Suisun and Grizzly Bays, the connecting point for the Sacramento River and the San Francisco Bay.

The City was established in the 1850s during the California Gold Rush as a trading route between the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and the San Francisco Bay Area.
