The restaurant's 100-year-old Victorian is set beneath a grove of majestic redwoods. Farm-fresh produce, meats, poultry, fish, award-winning wine list; skylight dining room, and a wood-burning oven are featured at The Lark Creek Inn. The restaurant was open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for lunch and Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. for dinner. Saturday dinner is served from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday lunch is available at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and dinner is served at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

All year Satellite Wagering, Waterworld USA, Paradise Island Fun Center and an RV Park are just a few of the features of the Cal Expo.The first State Fair was held in 1854 in San Francisco at the old Music Hall. The fair offered premiums (prizes) for its competitions and included such agricultural exhibits such as 2-inch-long peanuts, 72-pound beets and a 10-pound carrot that was longer than 3 feet. Horseracing was part of that first fair and has continued to be a part of the fair ever since.
