Washoe Meadows State Park occupies 620 acres of meadow and woodland in the valley at the base of the escarpment leading to Echo Summit. The park was named for the Native Americans who inhabited the area for thousands of years. The park lands have not been developed.

The park is adjacent to Lake Valley State Recreation Area, 2.5 miles east of South Lake Tahoe on Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
