Away from the hectic pace of downtown San Francisco (20 minutes from city center), we are located at the beach in the Sunset District of San Francisco where you can walk to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park; and just a short drive to the Cliff House and San Francisco Zoo. In April 2001, the Oceanview Motel was rennovated and provide our guest with the high quality rooms with large bay windows and conveniences of home.Our typical guest's daily activities will consist of:- Talking to our front desk staff about San Francisco tourist attractions- Eating breakfast at the gourmet coffee shop next door- Using public transportation which is across the street (safe, cheap and convenient-24 hours) to spend the day in San Francisco and avoid the hassels of driving and parking- Dining at nearby walking restaurants (two star - four star)- Purchasing personal items (i.e., phone cards, tooth paste) or cleaning their laundry from the convenience store and laudry mat two blocks away- Watching the sunset

California Exposition & State Fair Sacramento CA June12-28 The Cal Expo is the site of the California State Fair. All year Satellite Wagering, Waterworld USA, Paradise Island Fun Center and an RV Park are just a few of the features of the Cal Expo.The first State Fair was held in 1854 in San Francisco at the old Music Hall. The fair offered premiums (prizes) for its competitions and included such agricultural exhibits such as 2-inch-long peanuts, 72-pound beets and a 10-pound carrot that was longer than 3 feet. Horseracing was part of that first fair and has continued to be a part of the fair ever since.
