Located two miles west of
Placerville in the
El Dorado County Fairgrounds, the museum features exhibits which include mining, ranching, and logging equipment, a country store, a stagecoach, a Shay locomotive and other railroad rolling stock.
Admission to the museum is by donation. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday year round, and Sunday afternoons from March through October.
