It is reported that Walt Disney looked all over Southern California before deciding to locate Disneyland on 75 acres of orange trees in the then-sleepy agricultural town of Anaheim. Since 1955, Orange County has emerged from obscurity to become almost as famous as Los Angeles, and perhaps the greatest single tourist destination in the region.
