The Church in Irvine comprises believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who have personally received Him as their Savior. They are in fellowship with over 2,000 local churches worldwide to express the one Body of Christ. Near the end of 1976, a small number of students and young families led by the Lord moved from various other local churches to Irvine. They came to stand together as the testimony of Jesus in this young city to bring the gospel of the kingdom to the community and to the college students at the University of California.
