Box Canyon Falls is the centerpiece of a park at the southwest end of
Ouray. It is 285 feet tall.
Walkways with handrails lead to the inner chasm of the falls. Although the canyon is open to the sky, inside the falls' chasm, you seems like you've entered into a cave. There's also a trail which climbs to a footbridge built at the top of the canyon, directly above the falls. From this trail, you have great views of Ouray and the surrounding mountains, including Cascade Falls across the valley.
