Burlington

Burlington is located 13 miles west of the Kansas state line, on I-70. Bonny Reservoir and Bonny Reservoir State Recreation Area are nearby.

Burlington was incorporated in May 1888 and was voted the county seat of the newly formed Kit Carson County shortly thereafter. Burlington has a population of around 3,200. The two main attractions in Burlington include the Kit Carson County Carousel, a National Historic Landmark, and Old Town Museum, a 20-building living history complex.
