Fairplay was once a mining camp, and the community relives that time through a mining village, featuring more than 30 buildings and living history interpreters.
Three different mountain ranges meet here, offering many opportunities for biking, skiing, and hiking, as well as other outdoor sports.
Fairplay is located 21 miles north of Antero Junction on U.S. Hwy 285. Today, the town serves as a marketing center for South Park area ranches.
