Falls Creek Falls, which is located in the
San Juan Mountain Range consists of an initial leap of 60-70 feet, a second leap of 160 feet or more, and a rippling fall over a rounded slab of a hard black rock at the foot creating a shower 50 feet high. There is a trail goes up to the cliff-wall and it's possible to get behind the falls, which is a great thrill.
The hike to this and Fourmile Creek Falls is on a clear trail, perfectly suited to families with children.
