Florence is situated on the eastern range of the Rocky Mountains along the
Arkansas River. The world's highest suspension bridge is just west of town. The community also marks the beginning of the
Gold Belt Tour Scenic Byway, which follows old railroad and stagecoach routes.
Florence is located in Fremont County.
