Kiowa, the seat of
Elbert County was named after the Kiowa Indians in the mid 1850's. Kiowa is the home of the Kiowa Cowboy Up Rodeo and the Elbert County Fair. The town presents a sleepy image with plently of country charm that hasn't changed much over the years.
