The Mayflower Mill was the last major accomplishment of Charles A. Chase, a metallurgist and successful mining man. The original interior machinery remains intact, and the exterior configuration is the same as when constructed. All of the machinery remains as it was in August 1991, when the final whistle blew and the mine closed forever. Tours demonstrate mill operations; available during the summer months.
