The museum relates the aviation-related history of the Colorado Springs
area and the North American Aerospace Defense Command. Exhibits are displayed in the city's original airport terminal, built in 1941. Among the highlights are historically significant aircraft and related displays. Access to the museum is via the north gate of Peterson Air Force Base.
