Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak is located in the Colorado's The Front Range. It is 14,109 Feet in elevation. Lt. Zebulon Montgomery Pike discovered the mountain in 1806; however, Lt. Pike originally named the mountain "Grand Peak," but cartographers labeled it "Pikes Peak" on their maps. Today, visitors can reach the summit by cog railway, car, or by foot.

"America the Beautiful" was inspired by the view of Pikes Peak.
