Nederland Community Library, serving an area of 1,380 residents, has a collection of 5,200 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 176 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $8,800. Patrons make 2,800 visits annually, and check out materials 3,600 times. Sixty-three percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
