Wray is set in the flat prairies of northeastern Colorado close to the Nebraska border. The Republican River runs right through the community, located in Yuma County. The Wray Museum houses an extensive paleo-Indian exhibit, as well as information ad artifacts from the Battle of Beecher Island in 1868.
