Gateway to the Flat Tops |
Yampa is a small community with a population of about 400 located 30 miles south of Steamboat Springs on Highway 131. Yampa was named for the nearby Yampa River. This community is known as the gateway to the Flat Tops Wilderness Area. Stillwater Reservoir is nearby.
