Yuma is a small agricultural and ranching community near the Kansas border in
Yuma County. The community grows more corn than any other county in the state.
Yuma Irrigation Research Farm was founded when the government chose Yuma as the Federal Agricultural Experiment Station site - testing new methods of soil conservation.
