Connecticut's only zoo is in
Bridgeport, situated on 52 lush acres of Beardsley Park, it has a melange of creatures - from bears and bison, to otters and ocelots - and over 120 other species.
The South American animals live in the New World Tropics Building with lush foliage, waterfalls and rainforest environs. For the meeker of heart is a New England Farmyard with goats, pigs, cows, and sheeps.
