Nestled in the rolling hills of Pomfret, Celebrations Inn is a magnificent Queen Anne Victorian, built circa 1885. Initially, this was home to Miss Vinton's School for Girls. Local legend has it that Miss Vinton eventually closed her school's doors because of the distracting presence of a local boys' academy. From the 1930's through the 1960's the property was the site of the Pomfret Inn. Then a family with ten children took up residence. They lived and played throughout the 19 rooms for the next 10 years. In 1999, Celebrations Inn opened its doors offering luxury accommodations.
