Southbury's first bed and breakfast establishment, the 'Oldfield' house has been a landmark in the community since John Moseley built it in 1818. An exceptional example of Georgian Federal architecture, the home is on the National Register of Historic Places. Six rooms are each decorated differently, with private bath, some with fireplace, balcony, and Jacuzzi. Full breakfast. The success of 'Oldfield' builder John Moseley's one-hundredth birthday party celebrated here in 1875 demonstrated the suitability of the Cornucopia as an ideal venue for intimate events such as weddings, anniversaries, reunions, birthdays and other celebrations.
