Dinosaur State Park |
Dinosaur State Park officially opened in 1968, two years after dinosaur tracks were uncovered during excavation for a new state building. Casts may be made outdoors of some of the tracks. The geodesic dome exhibit center encloses an exposure of rock which bears about 500 tracks made by dinosaurs of the Jurassic Period (200 million years ago) and other interpretive exhibits. Surrounding the Exhibit Center are more than two miles of nature trails and the Dinosaur State Park Arboretum.
The Parks location is 1 mile east of Exit 23 off I-91.
