Glastonbury/Rocky Hill Ferry

Established in 1655, this is the oldest continuously operated ferry service in the United States. This open flatboat can hold three automobiles at a time, pulled by a tugboat across the river in about four minutes, an improvement over the raft and pole it started with in 1655. May 1-October 31, weekdays 7am 6:45pm, weekends and holidays 10:30am-5:00pm.
