Mansfield Hollow Lake is artificial in origin. It was created by the construction of Mansfield Hollow Dam, which impounds the waters of the Natchaug River. The lake covers approximately 440 acres and prohibits swimming, water skiing and wind surfing since part of the lake is used for public water supply.
Facilities available in the vicinity of the boat launch include picnic areas, hiking trails, and toilets. Fishing is good for largemouth bass and fair for smallmouth bass. The lake also provides good fishing for yellow perch and chain pickerel. Location is 1 mile east of Mansfield Center off Route 89.
