Rockville General Hospital

Initially opened in 1921 as Rockville City Hospital, RGH today still occupies the stately 19th-century mansion in which it was established in 1945. The mansion offers a uniquely warm and non-institutional entry to the hospital. Rockville General Hospital is a 102-bed acute-care community hospital located in the Rockville section of Vernon, an eastern Connecticut community about 20 minutes east of Hartford.

RGH offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services; amb ulatory surgery; 24-hour emergency department; PromptCare Walk-In Medical Center; diagnostic testing and treatment; laser surgery; The Birthplace for maternity services; an inpatient hospice unit; and a regional kidney dialysis service for eastern Connecticut.
