Sacred Heart University in
Fairfield was founded in 1963, and situated on 57 acres in a beautiful suburban setting, Sacred Heart University is an independent, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher learning and the second-largest Catholic university in New England. There are over 6,000 students, of whom half are full-time undergraduates, one-fifth are part-time undergraduates, and almost one-third are graduate students. The University is comprised of four colleges: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, College of Education and Health Professions, and University College. Student-to-Faculty Ratio: 12:1.
The University maintains four domestic branches, plus the only American-style MBA program in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Students are encouraged to pursue the study of Catholic social teachings while promoting interfaith relations through their Center for Christian-Jewish Understanding.
