Built in 1896 as the Taconic School for Young Ladies, this beautiful inn is located on a 12-acre hilltop in the Connecticut Berkshires. All 24 rooms in the Georgian Colonial main building have private baths, telephones and cable television. The separate motel building with 15 additional rooms have private baths, telephones and cable tv. Lakeville has swimming and boating on Lake Wonoskopomuc, the nearby twin lakes, and the Housatonic river; rafting, canoeing, waterskiing, and fishing are some of the favorite sports. Hiking the Appalachian trail, playing golf, tennis or going horseback riding are nearby. Bike rentals are available in Salisbury, 2 miles from the Inn.
