Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Located south of the Washington Monument grounds on 14th and C streets, this is the site where the U.S. Government designs, engraves and prints paper money, bonds, postage stamps and other miscellaneous items. A visitor center contains related exhibits including various engraved and uncut sheets of money that may be purchased. Flash photography is not permitted.

Open Monday through Friday 9am-1:40pm in the summer. Hours vary the rest of the year. Tours depart approximately every 20 minutes.
