Caravel Academy is a private, coeducational, independent, non-profit school of approximately 1065 pupils. The Academy, which opened in 1979, offers a college preparatory curriculum. The school consists of an early education school, lower school, a middle school, and an Upper School. The Middle Atlantic States Association of Colleges and Schools accredits the school.
