Historic maritime museum and educational facility, restored and preserved by the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation. This new museum in
Fenwick Island is the only standing Lifesaving station in its original location on the East Coast. Built in 1876, the building was used as a station for the `surfmen`, who drilled and worked here to rescue sailors and passengers in distress in the nearby sea.
