Iron Hill Museum of Natural History

Located on Old Baltimore Pike, this museum is housed in a former one room schoolhouse built by the du Pont family in 1923. Collections include rocks, minerals, floral and faunal specimens, archeological and historical displays, mounted birds and iron exhibits. Hiking trails pass old iron ore mining pits and a replica of an early American Indian encampment.

Open Wednesday through Friday noon-4pm, Saturday 10am-4pm; closed holidays.
